2010 Nominating Committee - Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP

WELCOME!

This website was created on September 28, 2010.

It is committed to transparency, best practices, customer care, truth-telling and Accountability.

It was created for the purpose of honoring the NAACP brand, fighting for "human" and "civil rights".

Mary Glass, the Creator of this site, was Suspended as a Member of the NAACP on November 1, 2010, after 83 days of membership. She was suspended on "trumped-up" and "misrepresented" charges.

She was the "elected" Secretary of the 2010 Nominating Committee for the Milwaukee Branch of the NAACP Election.

We feel it is an honor to serve the tenets of the civil rights and human rights movement . We also feel that the NAACP has failed in its commitment to its Membership by the issues mentioned on this website.

We abhor cover-up, malfeasance, misfeasance, arrogance and misuse of power, desecration of the brand name of civil rights and human rights that was found at our local level during the administration of President Jerry Ann Hamilton - Milwaukee, places like Houma, LA, St. Petersbury, FL, Boston, MA and at the national level; no matter who you are.

This is especially true of the NAACP - A brand that represents blood, sweat, tears, dreams deferred and death.

Therefore, OPERATION RE-BOOT, Accountability Matters - "getting-its-house-in-order" is a priority.

ALL HANDS on DECK, WE, Not Me

My office calls for and will actively work to ensure that the NAACP elected-appointed-hired representatives "lead-by-example" with "principle-centered" leadership.

I ask that you JOIN US by letting us know of abnormalities YOU and/or others have encountered through the wrongful Election, Membership Suspension, Expulsion and Article X process; as well as, electorial interferences, financial irregularies, corporate sponsors, Freedom Fund Dinners and other suspicious practices that usurp the rights of the paid members of the NAACP and those they represent as a race.

A Letter from Tony - Mr. Tony Fikes - Subscribing Diamond Life Member

Mr. Ben Jealous, President
National Association for the
Advancement Of Colored People
NAACP National Headquarters
4805 Mt. Hope Drive
Baltimore MD 21215

Mr. Jealous:

My name is Anthony (Tony) Fikes, a Diamond Life NAACP Member. I was also former 1st Vice-President, parliamentarian and Roberts Rules Order instructor for the Milwaukee, WI. Branch members for over five years.

I have been quite proud of those distinctions until now as I have been informed that the national NAACP office has suspended three Milwaukee Branch Members, Al Lambert, Bettye Loving and Dorothy Coleman.

These three outstanding members have been consistent, sincere and responsible in calling attention to the irresponsible behavior of Milwaukee Branch, President Jerry Hamilton.

I still remember NAACP action for Black people against bad treatment by Whites when Blacks could not speak against injustices. Then, the NAACP would get involved, sometime resorting to non-violent actions such as marching, sit-ins and rally’s.

If these suspensions are allowed to stand, it brings into question the NAACP‘s dedication for Black peoples’ plight, when they cannot bring to serious question the inappropriate activity of the Milwaukee Branch president.

The NAACP National office chooses to do nothing about serious local branch concerns even though these three suspended members, along with other, have participating in signing legal petitions that back up their concerns.

They even went as far to file an NAACP Article 10 on Hamilton, to focus attention to the plight of the local branch. Your office's answer to the allegations was to send two ill-mannered bullies, who attempted to intimidate and threaten long standing Milwaukee Branch members.

Personally, this sort of thuggish behavior by NAACP officials ought not to be tolerated in any manner. Such action is representative of that used by the KKK in that whatever they say is thus law and the hell with constitutional due process.

President Jealous, it is my wish that you will not allow these injustices stand and that you will do what is necessary to restore these loyal members to their rightful membership standing.

Thanking you in advance.

 Sincerely,

Anthony (Tony) Fikes, Subscribing Diamond Life Member
